At a young age Cameron developed a love of technology, growing up to specialize in IT for over 13 years. She also had a passion for language and literature, going on to study 3 different languages (Japanese, German, Spanish) and being a voracious reader. As a kid she could often be found reading during recess and gravitated toward classics even in elementary school. Some of her favorite books are: The Count of Monte Cristo (Alexandre Dumas), Shogun (James Clavell), War & Peace (Leo Tolstoy), and The Body Keeps the Score (Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk, M.D.).
When her nose wasn’t in a book she could often be found in the water. Her father coached swimming and water polo so Cameron and her brother spent many afternoons in pools and many summers in Lake Michigan. Growing up in the Greak Lakes gave her an appreciate for the care of our lakes and oceans, sparking interest in organizations dedicated to their preservation, such as the Surfrider Foundation.
More recently she has focused on voice acting after completing professional coaching for VO. Her passion for technology education and IT support has helped shape her VO expertise. Public speaking and training others comes naturally to her and creating engaging VO for eLearning is one of her specialties. While she considers herself an eternal student, many describe her as a natural teacher. She deeply enjoys learning about new subjects and then sharing that knowledge with others.
Cameron’s love for storytelling extends far beyond her work and it drives her to constantly push the boundaries of what's possible.
When she’s not behind the mic, you’ll find her indulging in her favorite homebody hobbies of reading, cooking, gaming and enjoying the many worlds of animation and anime. Sometimes her wanderlust gets the best of her and you may see her around Detroit or greater Michigan following her other passion, photography. You can see some of her work in the Gallery page.
Cameron also enjoys volunteering. She’s always ready to share her time and tech skills to troubleshoot computer issues for family and friends, make meals for those under the weather or out of commision, and shovel snow or help around the house and run errands for elderly and infirm friends who need a little extra help.
